The pendant depicts the distinctive Hattulan Lintu, a stylized Finnish bird with beautifully detailed decorative patterns and characteristic dangling webbed feet. The design was created by Germund Paaer in the 1940s and was inspired by a small archaeological silver bird found at Luurila in Hattula, Finland, dating back to the Viking Age.
