An elegant and highly collectible "Uikku" bird figurine designed by celebrated Polish sculptor and ceramic artist Mieczysław Naruszewicz for the renowned Wawel Porcelain Factory in Poland.
The sculpture captures the graceful silhouette of a diving bird with beautifully flowing black and white lines, creating a striking example of Mid-Century Modern Eastern European design. Its minimalist form and expressive curves make it a wonderful decorative piece for Scandinavian, modernist, and art-focused interiors.
The underside bears the original Wawel mark, the model number KF3/1-107, and the inscription "Ręcznie malowane", meaning hand painted in Polish. The model was originally designed in the late 1950s and remains one of Naruszewicz's most recognizable bird sculptures.
