Ideal for cozy winter moments or as a collectible piece of design history. The metal holders can be easily removed, making the glasses convenient to wash and dishwasher friendly. Without the holders, the glasses can also be used as stylish everyday water glasses, a practical and beautiful piece of Iittala design.
Designed in 1957 by renowned Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva, the Tsaikka mug is a Scandinavian icon. Crafted by Iittala, it features a removable heat-resistant glass insert held by a decorative metal holder with elegant loop handles combining practicality with mid-century elegance.
Originally made for serving Glögi (Finnish mulled wine), it's also perfect for tea, cider, or any hot beverage. I photographed on both white and black backgrounds to showcase its beautiful details, reflections, and character in different lighting and settings.
All six mugs are in an excellent vintage condition.
