A beautiful complete set of eight vintage Iittala Paadar snaps glasses, designed by renowned Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala.
The Paadar series is one of Wirkkala's distinctive Finnish glass designs, recognizable for its richly textured surface that catches and reflects light beautifully. The small glasses have a sculptural, organic appearance while remaining practical and stackable.
The Paadar series was produced by Iittala during the 1970–1976 period. The snaps glass is commonly identified as model 2016. Specialist vintage-glass sources give the dimensions at approximately 6 cm in height and 5 cm in diameter. Capacity is variously catalogued as approximately 7–8 cl, depending on the source.
These glasses are ideal for serving snaps, liqueurs, small spirits or other tasting portions, but they also make a striking addition to a Scandinavian vintage glass collection.
