A striking piece of Finnish vintage jewelry designed by Hannu Ikonen, dating to the 1970s.
The sculptural ring features an organic, flower- or moss-inspired form with multiple layers of textured bronze petals and a raised cluster of rounded bronze beads at the center. The darkened patina contrasts beautifully with the warm golden-bronze surface, emphasizing the dramatic three-dimensional relief.
Ikonen is particularly known for his organic Reindeer Moss (Renmoosblüte) jewelry designs created for the Finnish jewelry company Valo-Koru during the 1970s. His work translated forms inspired by Finnish nature into bold, sculptural modernist jewelry.
The ring has an adjustable/open band, making it suitable for different finger sizes. The photographs show the characteristic aged patina and surface variation expected from a vintage bronze piece.
A beautiful collectible for lovers of Finnish design, Scandinavian modernism, brutalist jewelry and statement vintage pieces.
