Beautiful vintage Arabia Finland Tammi wall plate from the Finnish Maakuntakukat (Regional Flowers) series, designed by Toivo G. Utriainen in 1993.
This distinctive octagonal ceramic wall plate features Tammi (Oak), the regional flower of Varsinais-Suomi (Southwest Finland). The design depicts oak branches, green leaves and acorns against a beautiful blue sky, with a small oak tree and Finnish landscape at the bottom.
The plate belongs to Arabia's Maakuntakukat series, designed in 1993. The series consists of 15 different Finnish regional flowers, together with Finland's national flower, the lily of the valley.
Its octagonal form, botanical illustration and soft Nordic colour palette make it a lovely piece of Finnish vintage design, suitable for a Scandinavian interior, gallery wall or collection of Arabia regional flower plates.
A hanging cord is present on the reverse, making the piece suitable for wall display.
