A beautiful vintage Arabia Finland Kissankello wall plate, designed by Finnish designer Toivo G. Utriainen as part of Arabia's celebrated Maakuntakukat (Regional Flowers) series.
The plate features Kissankello (harebell), the regional flower of Central Ostrobothnia (Keski-Pohjanmaa). The delicate blue and lilac bell-shaped flowers are set against a soft Finnish landscape with a blue summer sky, green meadow and additional wildflower details.
The octagonal design is characteristic of Utriainen's Maakuntakukat series, which was designed in 1993 and consists of 15 different Finnish regional flowers together with Finland's national flower, the lily of the valley.
With its soft blue, green and lavender palette and distinctive octagonal shape, this is a lovely piece of Finnish vintage design, suitable for a Scandinavian gallery wall, Nordic interior, cottage-style home or vintage ceramic collection.
