A beautiful and collectible Finnish art glass bird designed by renowned Finnish designer Oiva Toikka and produced at Nuutajärvi for Stockmann’s famous Hullut Päivät (Crazy Days) event in 2003.
This distinctive bird is made from translucent yellow glass with characteristic dark speckles and hand-crafted feather-like markings. The head and beak have clear glass details that beautifully catch and reflect the light.
The bird is signed “O. Toikka Nuutajärvi” on the underside, as visible in the photographs.
This was a special Stockmann-only bird, produced in a relatively small quantity and sold exclusively through Stockmann. It is therefore a particularly interesting piece for collectors of Oiva Toikka’s Birds, Finnish art glass and Nordic vintage design.
