Beautiful vintage Arabia Maitohorsma wall plate, featuring Maitohorsma (fireweed / rosebay willowherb), the provincial flower of South Ostrobothnia (Etelä-Pohjanmaa), Finland.
This charming octagonal wall plate belongs to Arabia's Maakuntakukat (Provincial Flowers) series, designed by Finnish designer Toivo G. Utriainen in 1993. The series celebrates Finland's regional flowers and plants with colorful illustrations inspired by the Finnish landscape.
The design features tall pink fireweed flowers surrounded by smaller flowering plants and grasses, set against a beautiful blue-and-pink summer sky and green landscape. The vivid pink, green and blue colors give the plate a particularly charming Nordic vintage character.
A beautiful collectible for lovers of Finnish Arabia, Scandinavian design, Finnish nature and vintage botanical decor. It also pairs beautifully with other plates from the Arabia Maakuntakukat collection.
