A beautiful set of 8 vintage Iittala i-line glass bowls, designed by renowned Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva.
These elegant blue glass bowls are part of Sarpaneva's iconic i-line collection, introduced by Iittala in the 1950s. The collection is especially significant in Finnish design history: Sarpaneva designed the distinctive red “i” symbol associated with the collection, which later became the iconic Iittala logo.
The bowls feature a minimalist cylindrical form, transparent deep blue glass, a clean dark rim and a beautifully substantial base. Their simple mid-century silhouette makes them equally suitable for serving desserts, berries, snacks and small portions, or for decorative use.
The photographs show the original Iittala “i” label / Made in Finland marking on the pieces.
The 10 cm diameter corresponds closely with documented Iittala i-line / i-307 dessert bowls by Timo Sarpaneva. Comparable examples are documented at approximately 10 cm in diameter and around 4–5.5 cm in height.
