Oiva Toikka Riekko Glass Bird – Nuutajärvi, Signed Finnish Art Glass

A beautiful Riekko glass bird designed by Oiva Toikka and manufactured by Nuutajärvi, Finland.

The bird features a rounded, creamy-white body decorated with delicate brown mottled patterns that resemble feathers. Its elegant neck has darker brown markings, while the head is made of translucent, pale greenish-clear glass. The flowing shape and intricate glass pattern give this piece a distinctive and expressive appearance.

Riekko is one of Oiva Toikka’s classic bird designs, with production beginning in 1981. Each bird was individually crafted using traditional glassmaking techniques, making every piece subtly unique.

This example is signed by Oiva Toikka. It does not have the original Nuutajärvi/Iittala sticker.
