Vintage Oiva Toikka Fasaani Glass Bird, Nuutajärvi Finland, Signed Pheasant Art Glass Sculpture

A beautiful vintage Finnish art glass bird designed by renowned glass artist Oiva Toikka and produced by Nuutajärvi glassworks. Known as Fasaani (Pheasant), this sculptural piece showcases the expressive forms and intricate detailing that make Toikka’s Birds collection so admired by collectors of Scandinavian design.

The bird features a striking iridescent body in blue-grey, green, bronze and purple tones, accented by dark feather-like lines and a deep ruby-red head. Its sculptural silhouette and richly layered colours create a distinctive display piece that catches the light beautifully.

The bird retains its Nuutajärvi label, and the underside bears a signature, as shown in the photographs. Each piece of hand-blown art glass has its own character and subtle variations.
