Vintage Kupittaan Savi “Haarikka” stoneware beaker, Gudrun Raunio design, Finland

Authentic vintage stoneware beaker (Haarikka) from Kupittaan Savi, designed by Gudrun Raunio. Hand-painted folk-style motif featuring a woman in traditional dress, sunflower, bird and foliate pattern with inscription “SUOMI FINLAND”. Creamy off-white glaze with bright hand-applied blues, greens and yellow. Marked on the base with Kupittaan Savi / Finland.

Kupittaan Savi was a Finnish mid-sized pottery founded in 1921. All items were handmade, making each piece unique, with natural variations in shape and glaze. Production continued until 1969, when the pottery closed due to economic difficulties. Kupittaan Savi ceramics are highly esteemed in Finland for their craftsmanship.
