A striking example of Finnish 1970s glass design, this large Humppila bowl captures light in the most beautiful way. The deep amber center radiates outward into clear, textured petal-like forms, creating a glowing sunburst effect when placed on a table or shelf.
With its generous 28.5 cm diameter and 10 cm height, this piece has real presence. It works equally well as a centerpiece, a fruit bowl, or simply as a sculptural statement object. The organic floral form is characteristic of Humppilan Lasi’s pressed glass production during the mid-century era where industrial technique met expressive Nordic design.
The textured surface enhances reflections and gives the bowl a lively, almost flame-like movement in natural light. From above, it resembles a sunflower in full bloom; from the side, the layered petals create depth and dimension.
