These plates are a piece of design history. Kumela Glassworks (1937–1985) was a highly respected Finnish glass manufacturer, known for its artistic and high-quality glass items. While the company originally produced everyday glassware, in the 1950s it shifted focus to handmade, designer pieces. One of the owners, Sirkku Kumela-Lehtonen, designed these exquisite plates, making them not just functional, but collectible works of art.

All six dessert plates are in an excellent vintage condition.
